The Guns of Navarone

The Guns of Navarone was started in 2000 to play authentic Jamaican Ska. There are lots of bands playing 2-tone and the sort of high tempo, energetic Ska that came out of Punk, but the relaxed and sunny infectiousness of the original Jamaican dance music isn't often heard.

The Guns of Navarone packs a five piece brass section made up of some of the best musicians in the area. The rhythme section is driven by one of the most experienced drummers in the field ( with 20 years experience in the form) and underpinned by the rich tones of string bass.
